Since the weather has gotten chilly lately, the leaves have all pretty much fallen. The leaves crunch when you jump in a pile of them and their colors are magnificent. A great way to include the seasons in your lesson plan is by using fake leaves!
Materials:
Fake colorful leaves
Strung
Tape
Cvc small pictures
Bug catcher
For this activity the clinician needs to prepare the leaves by gently taping the pictures to the leaves. Then tie the strings together and tape the leaves to the ends of the strings. Once you have finished, tape the strings to the ceiling. The main idea is to get the child to use the bug catcher and pull the leaves and name the words. Make sure the string is at the child's height. The child may also like to gather all the leaves at the end and throw them in the air. Enjoy!
